***I just wanted to say that even though I loved the final outcome & the shadow colors, there was a ton of fall-out with this product. This is especially annoying when you're applying the black powder liner! The cool thing is that it almost literally talks you through the application--it comes with pictures, & directions. My suggestion if you want to try this eyeshadow palette is to apply the eyeshadow before you apply your face makeup.***
The following are the step-by-step directions that come with the Eye Talking Palette. The brushes they are referring to are Stila Brushes. I used the Kat Von D brushes. You can use whichever brushes you have to recreate the look:
- Apply the base color by using brush #9 to wash color over the entire lid area. *(I used my Blending Brush)*
- Apply the lid color by using the pointy side of brush #15, defining the eyelid up into the crease and lightly under the eye. *(Again used the Blending Brush)*
- Apply the crease color using the flat side of brush #15 to contour an arc into the crease. Remember to blend well to avoid harsh edges.*(Blending Brush yet again)*
- Finally, using brush #4, smudge the outside corner of the eye, then the top and bottom of the lash line. *( I used my Angled Brow Brush to line the upper & lower lash line)*Finish up with Stila's Onyx Kajal Liner and Major Lash Mascara in Black. *(I used the Givenchy Magic Kajal Pencil which is the best tool to create a smokey eye! I rimmed the lower water line of the eye, then smudged the liner into the lash line on top & bottom, to set the liner, using my smudge brush I smudged the powder liner on top.)*
